The outline of Bohr's atom came through the proceedings of the very first Solvay Conference in 1911 on the subject of Radiation and Quanta, at which Bohr's mentor, Rutherford was current. Max Planck's lecture finished with this particular remark: "... atoms or electrons subject for the molecular bond would obey the regulations of quantum theory".[1
